BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Speed was apparently a factor in a single-vehicle accident on Bayside Lakes Boulevard that Palm Bay Fire Engine 6 ran on Sunday evening.

According to Palm Bay Fire Rescue, the car struck the tree and split in half, leaving a large distance between the two halves.

“Two patients were treated and transported by Brevard County Fire Rescue to the Holmes Regional Medical Center Trauma Center for their injuries,” said Palm Bay Fire Rescue officials.

The circumstances of the crash was not released.
