DORIAN UPDATE: U.S. Coast Guard Has Set Hurricane Condition ‘X-RAY’ for Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral remains open to all commercial traffic

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port has set Hurricane Condition “X-RAY” for Port Canaveral. Sustained gale-force winds are predicted within 48 hours. The Port remains open to all commercial traffic.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL – The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port has set Hurricane Condition “X-RAY” for Port Canaveral.

Sustained gale-force winds are predicted within 48 hours.

The Port remains open to all commercial traffic.

Oceangoing vessels greater than 500 gross tons, including oceangoing tugs and barges greater than 500 gross tons, already in port or arriving during Hurricane Condition X-RAY shall continue with preparations and safety depart the Port before the setting of Hurricane Condition ZULU, issued when sustained gale-force winds are predicted within 12 hours.
