Viera Suntree Little League Juniors finish the season as the Florida State and Southeast Region champs

Even though Southeast collected nine hits to the West‘s six, they still fell 7-2 on Friday in the Junior League Baseball World Series Unites States Final in Taylor Michigan.

TAYLOR, MICHIGAN – Even though Southeast collected nine hits to the West‘s six, they still fell 7-2 on Friday in the Junior League Baseball World Series Unites States Final in Taylor Michigan.

The West, of Fullerton, California, scored five runs in the fourth inning. Conor SunderlandKyle Kim, and Sean Gonnellaeach had RBIs in the big inning.

Eric Jeon took the win for West. He surrendered two runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out four. Kim threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Apollos Horrell took the loss for Southeast. He allowed five hits and six runs over three and a third innings, striking out two.

Logan Keith led Southeast with three hits in three at bats.

Kim went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead West in hits. West didn’t commit a single error in the field. Gonnella had the most chances in the field with five.

The Viera Suntree Little League Juniors finish the season as the Florida State and Southeast Region champs posting an incredible year and should be very proud of their outstanding performance and come-from-behind victories.

The team is managed by Jason Allen and players include Aaron Brand, Luke Campbell, Lucas Glendinning, Apollos Horrell, Luc Iten, Dylan Jordan, Logan Keith, Luke McDonough, Cameron Ruston, Cameron Simpkins, Cole Smith, Blake Strode, Brycen Weeks and Camden Wicker; and coaches include John Glendinning and Dustin Keith.
