Florida Tech Men’s Golf Team Slotted Eighth in the GCAA Coaches Preseason Poll

Panthers open their 2019-20 season on Sept. 23-24 at the Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Georgia
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech golf team is slotted eighth in the nation in the GCAA Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Preseason Poll.
The Panthers received 294 points in the poll and finds themselves behind four other SSC programs that are ranked in the top 10 in the nation.
The 2018-19 National Champion Lynn is the favorite heading into the season with 459 points and 14 first-place votes.
Barry is No. 2 with 448 points and five first-place votes, while West Florida, Florida Southern (1) and Lincoln Memorial round out the top 5.
Other SSC members in the preseason poll are Nova Southeastern (6th), Saint Leo (12th) and Rollins (20th).
Florida Tech racked up top 10 finishes last year including seven top 4 results.
