Pedestrian Killed in Vehicle Crash, Melbourne Police Traffic Enforcement Unit Seek Information

man killed in the area of North Harbor City Boulevard and Parkway Drive about 9:3 p.m.

The Melbourne Police Selective Traffic Enforcement Unit is currently investigating a vehicle crash in which an adult male pedestrian was struck and killed in the area of North Harbor City Boulevard and Parkway Drive about 9:3 p.m. on Friday night.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Selective Traffic Enforcement Unit is currently investigating a vehicle crash in which an adult male pedestrian was struck and killed in the area of North Harbor City Boulevard and Parkway Drive about 9:3 p.m. on Friday night.

The Selective Traffic Enforcement Unit is currently investigating this crash as a Traffic Homicide Investigation and is seeking any witnesses or video pertaining to this crash, which involved a silver 2016 Toyota RAV4.

According to  Melbourne Police Sgt. Dan Desormier, Melbourne police officers responded and discovered an adult male pedestrian with significant life-threatening injuries sustained from the crash.

“The male was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he eventually succumbed to his injuries,” said Sgt. Desormier.

“The crash is still under investigation, but neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in this crash.”

Sgt. Desormier said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.

The identity of the dead man is being withheld until next of kin notifications are completed.
