Orlando Melbourne International received $3,857,117 to improve terminal facilities

Three Brevard County airports received infrastructure improvement grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Orlando Melbourne International received a $3,857,117 infrastructure improvement grants to improve the terminal facilities and remove obstructions.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Three Brevard County airports received infrastructure improvement grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

• Orlando Melbourne International received a $3,857,117 infrastructure improvement grants to improve the terminal facilities and remove obstructions.

• Titusville Arthur Dunn Air Park received $300,000 to install a runway vertical/visual guidance system and make runway improvements.

• Space Coast Regional Airport was granted $274,815 to install airfield guidance signs.

The grants were part of more than $475 million in infrastructure improvements to airports around the country, with the U.S. Department of Transportation sending almost $22 million to 10 airports in Florida.

Orlando Executive Airport is getting $4.2 million from DOT to rehabilitate a taxiway.

“This significant investment in airport improvements in Florida will fund construction and rehabilitation projects that will help maintain high levels of safety in U.S. aviation,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao
