BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The man who was shot and killed in Titusville on Sunday has been identified as 27-year-old DeNathan Nartarious Carter of Cocoa.

The shooting happened on the 1000 block of South Park Ave. around 12:30 p.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, police officers arrived at the scene around when they located Carter on a roadway that connects the rear of Park Villas Apartments to S. Deleon Avenue.

Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are now investigating the incident as a homicide.
