BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center has upgraded a disturbance in the Central Atlantic ocean to Tropical Storm Dorian on Saturday.

The system is carrying max sustained winds of 40 mph and moving to the west at 12 mph.

Current projections by the National Hurricane Center show Tropical Storm Dorian to develop into a hurricane by Tuesday as it approaches the Lesser Antilles.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Experts are forecasting Dorian to turn toward the west-northwest on Sunday.
