How to Receive Emergency Alerts in Brevard County

• Wireless Emergency Alerts: These are sent to your cell phone and bounce off the cell towers only in a certain/affected area for:

– Weather-related alerts issued by the National Weather Service

– Amber Alerts (missing children) issued by law enforcement

– Other imminent threats to life or safety issued by Emergency Management

Alerts issued by the President

These alerts look like a short text message and have a unique tone and vibration and you do not need to sign up for them; they are automatically enabled.
