BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Women’s basketball head coach John Reynolds has released Florida Tech’s 2019-20 schedule. This year’s schedule will see Tech take the court against five teams that made it to the 2018-19 postseason.
The Panthers are scheduled to play 28 regular season games and are the home team for 15 of those contests. The women will be the true away team 13 times and take part in two neutral site games. Throughout the course of the year, Reynolds and his team also suit up for two exhibitions and one scrimmage.
Tech opens their season at the Sunshine State Conference/Gulf South Conference Challenge which takes place on the campus of the University of Tampa.
The team opens its season against West Georgia Friday, Nov. 8, and will be back in action the following day as they take on Spring Hill.
The Crimson and Gray then open their home schedule the following weekend with the Florida Tech Classic. The Panthers do battle with UPR – Bayamon first before they look to take down a 2018-19 NCAA tournament team in CSU.
Florida Tech will have their first two true road tests when they head to Flagler and then on to Saint Leo for its first SSC game of the season. The women then play their following two games at home and after that two more away contests.
The final two games of 2019 take place at home as the Panthers hosts the Florida Tech Holiday Classic. The team will have games against both William Jewell, Dec. 19, and Pittsburg State, Dec. 20. These games are the final two nonconference games of the season.
The next eight games will see the Panthers alternate between home and away. Following that the team plays two straight at the Clemente Center before they are on the road for two straight.
Three of the four final regular season games see the Panthers play right here in Melbourne. The highlight of those four games is the season final and the team’s senior day Wednesday, Feb. 26, against Rollins.
