Military Officers Association of America’s Cape Canaveral Chapter Good Deeds Foundation Supports Space Coast Honor Flight

Hundreds attended the pre-flight ceremony with 25 World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veterans

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Military Officers Association of America’s Cape Canaveral Chapter Good Deeds Foundation President Donn Weaver and Chapter President Dan Smith presented a check recently to Space Coast Honor Flight Director retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Jim Hart to support their mission.

Hundreds attended the pre-flight ceremony with 25 World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veterans, who were headed to Washington, DC to see their monuments.

Many other Military Officers Association of America’s Cape Canaveral Chapter members were in attendance, including retired U.S. Army retired Col. Jerry Gill, who served as an escort for a Korean War veteran.

It was one of eight ceremonies and flights held every year by Space Coast Honor Flight.
