Solaris Senior Living on Merritt Island to Host Oktoberfest Celebration Oct. 9

Solaris Senior Living, an assisted living community on Merritt Island, will host an Oktoberfest celebration from 3 pm – 5 pm on Wednesday, October 9.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Solaris Senior Living, an assisted living community on Merritt Island, will host an Oktoberfest celebration from 3 pm – 5 pm on Wednesday, October 9

The event is free to the public.

“We invite the community to join us for authentic German food and beverages, a costume contest and live, non-stop music by the Festhaus Musig band. Everyone is welcome,” said Shawn Corley, Administrator.

“We look forward to having our community filled with lively music, camaraderie, and the delicious smells of German cuisine.”

Sponsored by Select Rehabilitation and NHC Home Care, attendees can enjoy a taste of Germany in the heart of Merritt Island.

Festhaus Musig is renowned for its songbook of 300 authentic German and Austrian songs, including the Beer Barrel Polka. 

Band leader Nick Gulacsy, Jr., is an Accordion Master who has performed at Indiana’s German Volksfest more than twenty times.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their best German attire, as prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.

Solaris Senior Living is an 85-apartment independent and assisted living community that offers dynamic life enrichment programs.  It is located at 535 Crockett Boulevard in the heart of Merritt Island.
