BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police Master Officer Leamon Jackson was honored as the recipient of the Valor Award and selected 2019 Brevard County Middle School Resource of the Year.

The Melbourne Chamber of Commerce presented Officer Jackson with the honor, which is sponsored by Walmart, Hospice of St. Francis and Harris Corporation.

Officer Jackson is a 17-year veteran of the Titusville Police Department and has been Jackson Middle School’s Resource Officer for approximately 12 years.

He received this award for his dedication to educating the city of Titusville’s youth, his tireless work ethic, and his willingness to always go above and beyond by continually building relationships with students, families and the community.

Every year Officer Jackson organizes a successful and extremely competitive “Kids versus Kops” charity basketball game as an effort to help fund an annual student trip to Washington D.C., which he also chaperones.

The Titusville Police Department is truly grateful for his dedication, and this award is a public “Thank You” to Officer Jackson for making a positive difference in Titusville’s future generation.
