UCF Knights Remain At No. 17 In Coaches Poll, Drop To No. 18 In AP Poll

ORLANDO, FLORIDA (UCF Knights) – The UCF football team opened the season ranked 17th in both the Preseason Amway Coaches Poll and AP Top 25. After defeating Florida A&M 62-0 in week one, the Knights remained at 17 in the Coaches Poll, but fell to 18th in the nation in the AP Poll.

UCF received 513 total points to remain in 17th in the Coaches Poll on Tuesday, moving ahead of Oregon, but falling behind Wisconsin. The Knights totaled 445 points in the AP Poll, just behind the Ducks and Badgers in the rankings.

With the win over Florida A&M on Thursday, the Knights improved to 32-2 all-time when ranked in the Top 25. UCF looks to improve that record yet again this weekend, playing on the road at FAU, Saturday at 7 p.m.

UCF has been ranked in 29 straight polls, dating back to week six of the 2017 season, and it marks the 41st time in history the Knights have been in the Top 25.
