SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Space Coast Daily’s Chris Bonanno reports from the scene of a house fire at the intersection of Clemson Drive and Michigan Avenue in Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa police patrol units assisted Cocoa Fire Rescue with a house fire on Michigan Avenue on Wednesday afternoon about 4 p.m.

According to the Cocoa police, the homeowner, a cat and pet rabbit were safely evacuated.

The animals were given oxygen by the first responders to help them recover.

Firefighters said that the fire started in the garage due to an electrical issue.
