Waterways Remain Closed as Hurricane Condition ZULU Remains in Effect at Port Canaveral

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral is now open for vehicle and pedestrian traffic and port personnel are in the process of assessing buildings and roadways for damage and safety issues.
Port Canaveral officials said that restaurants in the Cove may be open for business to serve the community, but is advising the public to contact the restaurant to check their hours of operation before heading to the Port.
As of 12 noon Wednesday, cruise terminals, parking garages and Jetty Park remain closed. Freddie Patrick and Rodney Ketcham boat ramps are also closed.
Hurricane condition ZULU remains in effect and port waterways remain closed.
The Port Canaveral Lock has been opened by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the State road 401 drawbridge remains in the down position.
If you are a cruise guest who wishes to retrieve your vehicle parked at Port Canaveral, Port officials are working to get the garages open as soon as possible.
