We could say that Super Nintendo was one of the most popular gaming consoles of all time and we would be right. This means that there are a lot of games for SNES and each one is unique.
Today we will be focused on the most popular games for SNES, but in the United States only. Let’s start.
1. Mortal Kombat II
Mortal Kombat II hit the market of the United States in 1994 and soon became a must-play game. It was loaded with violence and it was extremely addictive.
Even today the game is popular among many gamers and there are a lot of those who practice every single day. Mortal Kombat II is known as hyper-violence game, but the combos and fighting scenes make it worthy of the ‘’risk’’.
The game became available on the market in 1991 and it was revolutionary development. This is the first game to use and represent the horsepower of the racers. You would fly in different aircraft over different terrains in Lylat sector and you will have to play as hard as possible in order to defeat the foes. Maybe today the graphics look obsolete but back in 1993 when the game became available in USA, it was state of the art.

The game was released in 1992 and it is one of those we all played and we still play. It was a combo of Super Mario and his friends and racing with tiny go-karts.
It is probably one game that is present on every single list there is and one that provides millions of hours and hours of joy.
9. Contra III: The Alien Wars
Contra III: The Alien Wars or simply Contra 3 is a fast-paced game released in 1992. It soon became one game that all children played and due to a good reason.
The game was addictive. This is honestly the only word we can use to define the game. Countless enemies, powerful weapons, various movements available and so much more are additional reasons why the game has to be on the list.
10. Street Fighter 2: Turbo
Street Fighter 2: Turbo became available on the market in 1994 and it was top of the line game developed by Capcom. Now players would be able to enjoy combos, better fighting capabilities, and many, new characters.
The game soon made arcade version obsolete and not so popular any more.
