BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey had the opportunity to speak to members of the Brevard County Property Appraiser’s Office about Identity Theft, Credit Card Fraud, and Personal Safety.

The presentation was done as part of annual training for the Property Appraiser Team and was an excellent opportunity to share information to help keep their employees from becoming crime’s next victim.

Every day there are citizens from across the globe who become victims of Identity Theft and Credit Card Fraud which has quickly become one of the most prevalent crimes we face.

By being aware of the different crime trends and scams used by the perpetrators, we are taking the first step toward protecting ourselves, our families, our businesses and our identities.

I would like to personally thank Property Appraiser Dana Blickley for inviting me to speak and all of the Property Appraiser Team members for partnering with us to keep Brevard County a safe place to call home.

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
