Florida Tech ranks No. 372 out of 650

Forbes has named Florida Institute of Technology to its 2019 list of America’s Top Colleges, the magazine’s annual review of undergraduate institutions that deliver the top academics, best experiences, career success and lowest debt.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Forbes has named Florida Institute of Technology to its 2019 list of America’s Top Colleges, the magazine’s annual review of undergraduate institutions that deliver the top academics, best experiences, career success and lowest debt.

The exclusive list, released in late summer, includes just 15 percent of the 4,300 degree-granting, post-secondary institutions in the U.S.

“Whether a school is in the Top 10 or near the bottom of the list, these 650 count as the best in the country,” the magazine said.

In addition to its inclusion on the Top Colleges list, Florida Tech was listed as one of the top schools in the geographic “In The South” category.

Top Colleges are determined using six general categories: Alumni Salary (20 percent); Student Satisfaction (20 percent); Debt (20 percent); American Leaders (15 percent), which is based on alumni in the Forbes database of successful people, including billionaires, powerful women and leaders in public service; On-Time Graduation Rate (12.5 percent); and Academic Success (12.5 percent).

In May, Forbes named Florida Tech one of the nation’s Best Value Colleges.
