Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Titusville Traffic Crash at Knox McRae Drive and Mount Sterling Avenue

A pedestrian was killed in a traffic crash Wednesday evening near the intersection of Knox McRae Drive and Mount Sterling Avenue in Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A pedestrian was killed in a traffic crash Wednesday evening near the intersection of Knox McRae Drive and Mount Sterling Avenue in Titusville.

According to Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews, at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, officers responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation revealed an adult male was walking on the shoulder of the roadway on Knox McRae Drive.

“A silver 2001 Toyota Corolla, driven by Jantz Michael Lee, 37, of Cocoa was traveling eastbound on Knox McRae Drive and struck the victim from behind,” said Matthews in a release.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased at 8 p.m.”

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

There were no other injuries.

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.
