Robert Oberle of Palm Bay Killed Saturday in Motorcycle Crash on Aurora Road in Melbourne

Robert Oberle, 36, of Palm Bay was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash on Aurora Road.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Robert Oberle, 36, of Palm Bay was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash on Aurora Road.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes, Barbara Bacon, 68, of Melbourne, was traveling westbound on Aurora Road as Oberle was riding a 2009 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Aurora Road.

Lt. Montes said Bacon, who was driving a 2018 Toyota four-door sedan, attempted to make a left turn to travel south onto Aurora Park Circle and the front of Oberle’s motorcycle then crashed into the car.

Bacon received minor injuries and was taken to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center for treatment.

This crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
