SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has culminated an investigation into the distribution of kilogram quantities of Heroin and Cocaine. “The Sheriff’s Office will continue to do everything possible to rid our community of these deadly drugs and those that are responsible for the distribution,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has culminated an investigation into the distribution of kilogram quantities of Heroin and Cocaine.

Early Thursday morning, Sheriff’s Agents with the Special Investigations Unit, Fugitive Unit and GameOver Task Force spread across Brevard County to arrest 36 members of a criminal organization distributing the illicit drugs.

Arrest warrants were issued for each of the 36 suspects who have been identified throughout the course of the investigation as the alleged sources and distributors of these deadly drugs.

Arrest and search warrants were authorized by the Honorable Circuit Court Judge Robert Segal.

Sheriff’s Agents with the Special Investigations Unit conducted the investigation that focused on this organization that was involved in the distribution of drugs in the areas of Cocoa and Cape Canaveral.

“The Sheriff’s Office will continue to do everything possible to rid our community of these deadly drugs and those that are responsible for the distribution,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

“Investigations of this magnitude are difficult and are the result of incredible efforts by all involved. I would like to thank our State Attorney Phil Archer and his team for their outstanding participation and support.”

The defendants, in this case, are facing charges that range from Conspiracy and Trafficking in Heroin and Cocaine to Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO). These charges bring penalties upon conviction of three to 25 years in prison.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERS ARE IDENTIFIED AS:

Johntavious Green, 41, Cocoa: The investigation determined that Green was a major source of supply for Heroin and Cocaine in the Cocoa area.  Green was involved in the purchase and sale of Cocaine and Heroin to Kenneth Melendez for distribution in Cape Canaveral.
