Palm Bay Elementary is currently on lockdown while the area is cleared

The Palm Bay Police Department is asking residents in the area of Hickory Avenue NE and Lichty Street NE to shelter in place. There is a heavy police presence in the area investigating a lead related to a shooting that took place overnight. In an abundance of caution, Palm Bay Elementary is currently on lockdown while the area is cleared.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department is asking residents in the area of Hickory Avenue NE and Lichty Street NE to shelter in place.

According to Palm Bay police officials, there is a heavy police presence in the area investigating a lead related to a shooting that took place overnight.

In an abundance of caution, Palm Bay Elementary is currently on lockdown while the area is cleared.
