Armed Robbery Suspect Taken Down After Leading Police On Car Chase In Palm Bay

Police have arrested an armed robbery suspect who led officers on a vehicle pursuit Friday morning and crashed the vehicle in the area of Brickell St. and Emerson Dr. in Palm Bay.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Police have arrested an armed robbery suspect who led officers on a vehicle pursuit Friday morning and crashed the vehicle in the area of Brickell St. and Emerson Dr. in Palm Bay.

After crashing the vehicle, the suspect attempted flee the scene of the crash. However, police from multiple agencies quickly tracked him down and took him into custody.

Police say the individual at the center of the pursuit is suspected of committing an armed robbery in NW Palm Bay Friday morning and had been released from jail after posting bail following an earlier armed robbery in Titusville.

Palm Bay Police Department, Melbourne Police Department and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office were at the scene of the crash.

The crash scene is secured, and the roadway has been reopened.

The suspect’s identity has not yet been released.
