BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past week the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team placed 12th overall in the International SWAT Round-Up Competition in Orlando, Florida.

The annual competition drew over 55 SWAT Teams from around the world who all came to Central Florida with the intent to claim the title of SWAT Round-Up Champion.

SWAT Round-Up is much more than just a training event or intense competition, as it is also an opportunity for SWAT Team members from across the globe to come together to learn from one another and to build relationships that will last a lifetime.

While the competition is a fun part of the event, the training and education program are a vital component of the SWAT Round-Up experience as the training is conducted by nationally renowned instructors who are teaching SWAT Operators to save lives.

The competition events are geared for simulation of real life scenarios and are intended to challenge the members to work together as a unit. The various events place strong emphasis on weapon expertise, physical fitness, resource utilization and team work!
