FHP Identifies 66-Year-Old Satellite Beach Man Killed n Fatal Crash While Standing On Pineda Causeway

Bradley Wells, 66, Killed in Vehicle crash Monday

The pedestrian struck and killed in a vehicle crash on the Pineda Causeway and Tropical Trail about 6 a.m. Monday has been identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as Bradley Wells.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The pedestrian struck and killed in a vehicle crash on the Pineda Causeway and Tropical Trail about 6 a.m. Monday has been identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as Bradley Wells.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer Lt. Kim Montes, Wells, 66, was from Satellite Beach.

Lt. Montes said that “for an unknown reason” Wells was standing in the roadway in the westbound lanes of the Pineda Causeway and was struck by a motorist who changed lanes to avoid him, but Wells moved into the path of the vehicle.

Lt. Montes said that a second vehicle then struck Wells as he came to a final rest in the roadway.

This incident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
