Florida Tech Swimming Finishes in Second Place at Panther Invite

Jose Coiman-Acosta set a new school record

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech women’s swimming concluded the Panther Invite on Sunday afternoon at the Panther Aquatic Center. The Panthers raced against Florida Southern, Rollins College, and Saint Leo.
Florida Tech had a few personal best times on Sunday at the Panther Aquatic Center.
In the 200 back, Carlos Obregon recorded a personal best with a time of 1:51.82 to finish third place.
Jose Coiman-Acosta set a new school record in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.87 finishing first. Coiman-Acosta bested is prelim time by almost a full second. Dain Rust was behind Jose recording a time of 2:04.07.
In the 200 fly, Jacob Coutant placed third with a time of 1:53.13.
In the 50 free, Kerry Ollivierre got a win with a time of 21:25.
The men’s team finished the Panther Invite 2nd overall. Tech finished 3rd as a team with a score of 922.5 points.
The Crimson and Gray head to Saint Leo on Monday, December 16 at Marion Bowman Activities Center.
