SPACE COAST DAILY TV: A presentation by Mike Slotkin, Ph.D., a Professor of Economics at the Bisk College of Business at Florida Tech, covers some of the key data points and results from an on-going, three-year contractual collaboration with the Space Coast Office of Tourism.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Business Applied series presented by the Bisk College of Business at Florida Tech invites business owners, executives, consultants, practitioners, leaders and students to get new, actionable industry insights from the university’s top business faculty.

This event will be held on November 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hartley Room. A complimentary lunch will be provided.

This 45-minute presentation will cover some of the key data points and results from an on-going, three-year contractual collaboration with the Space Coast Office of Tourism.

Visitor expenditure and economic impacts, bed tax revenues accrued, lodging and travel logistics, as well as other pertinent measures, will be discussed.

Connections to current academic research will be addressed along with the complementary role that business consulting can play.

Mike Slotkin, Ph.D. is a Professor of Economics at the Bisk College of Business at Florida Tech. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his scholarly activity surrounds the application of economics to the environment and to regional economies and industries.

Slotkin regularly consults through FIT Consulting, and to date, has co-authored more than 30 economic impact or contribution studies.
