Norwegian Cruise Lines Reports Better Than Expected Revenue in Third Quarter of 2019

Norwegian offers cruises aboard the Norwegian Sun from Port Canaveral, will reposition Norwegian Breakaway Nov. 23
BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. reported better-than-expected results in the third quarter of 2019.
Adjusted earnings were $2.23 per share, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.15.
Quarterly revenues totaled $1,913.9, surpassing the consensus mark of $1,902 million and increasing 3 percent year over year.
Norwegian currently offers cruises aboard the Norwegian Sun from Port Canaveral and will reposition the Norwegian Breakaway to the Port on Nov. 23.
The Breakaway is 146,600 tons and has a capacity for 3,963 passengers, double occupancy. The ship has a total of 1,024 staterooms and 238 suites.
At launch in 2013, it was the world’s ninth-largest cruise ship by gross tonnage.
Onboard features include a restaurant, Ocean Blue, by Geoffrey Zakarian, and a comedy club, in which a Second City company performs. Peter Max designed the hull art.
In May 2018, the Norwegian Sun repositioned to Port Canaveral to operate cruises to Havana with Key West Florida, and to the Bahamas to either Freeport or Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay.
