UPDATE: Second Person Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash at Bahama Blvd. and North Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach police officers responded to the intersection of Bahama Boulevard and North Atlantic Avenue Saturday night about 9:45 p.m. in response to a fatal traffic crash.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – A second person has died from a crash in Cocoa Beach near the intersection of Bahama Boulevard and North Atlantic Ave. Saturday night.

Police say the fatal happened around 9:45 p.m. in response to a fatal traffic crash.

The victims killed in the crash have been identified as 80-year-old Apollo Corapi (Cocoa Beach) and his passenger, 78-year-old Marta Ney (Melbourne). Both died as a result of the crash.

According to Cocoa Beach Sgt. Manny Hernandez, officers determined a truck traveling southbound on North Atlantic Avenue crashed into a vehicle traveling northbound as it was making a left turn onto a residential street.

Ney, who was passenger in in Corapi’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle has been identified as 32-year-old Timothy Bahus (West Melbourne).
