80 K9 Teams From Across the Country Converged For Training in Titusville

Workshop organizers hosted practical training sessions from Master Trainers

Approximately 80 Law Enforcement and Civilian Search and Rescue K9 teams from across the country assembled in Titusville at the American Police Hall of Fame on December 9 through December 13 for the 2019 North American Police Work Dog Association Florida State Workshop.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Approximately 80 Law Enforcement and Civilian Search and Rescue K9 teams from across the country assembled in Titusville at the American Police Hall of Fame on December 9 through December 13 for the 2019 North American Police Work Dog Association Florida State Workshop.

Workshop organizers hosted practical training sessions from Master Trainers. Attendees received expert information from nationally recognized speakers.

Teams received training and certifications in the areas of Narcotics, Cadaver, NAPWDA workshop k9 handler and k9 dog Explosives, Tracking and Trailing, Building and Area Search and Aggression Control, and Police Utility Dog.

The Titusville Police Department, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, North American Police Work Dog Association, National Narcotics Detector Dog Association and Florida Department of Law Enforcement made this training possible.

“The many skills and certifications acquired during this workshop become a vital part of law enforcement’s proactive and reactive policing”, said Titusville Police Lieutenant Chris DeLoach.

“We are truly honored to provide this crucial hands-on training to K9 handlers and their K9 dogs year after year,” added DeLoach.
