Brevard Fire Units Respond to Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in Melbourne On U.S. 192 Thursday Evening

Brevard County Fire Rescue units, along with Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies and Florida Highway Patrol Troopers, were at the scene of a fatal vehicle crash at Radar Road and U.S. Route 192 in West Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units, along with Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies and Florida Highway Patrol Troopers, were at the scene of a fatal vehicle crash at Radar Road and U.S. Route 192 in West Melbourne.

First responder units arrived at the scene around 8 p.m. Thursday night.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the crash involved multiple vehicles with at least one vehicle on fire.

Six people were injured and two trauma alerts were issued.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one person was pronounced dead at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

The eastbound lanes of U.S. Route 192 were blocked for several hours.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released and the circumstances of the crash are still being investigated.
