Titusville seniors surprised with delivery of gifts

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Brevard County Triad and the Titusville Police Department’s North Brevard Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) volunteers collected and delivered holiday gifts for approximately 320 local seniors residing in assisted living, rehabilitation and nursing facilities.
Christmas is the season of giving and for the past 20 years, Titusville seniors were surprised with the delivery of gifts donated by the community.
The “Senior Santa” program was sponsored by Brevard County Triad and coordinated this special holiday giving event for local seniors in need or alone for the holidays.
Senior wishing trees, decorated with individual paper Santa wish lists, were senior santa displayed at the Titusville Police Department and Parrish Senior Solution Center.
Wishes were taken and fulfilled by generous collogues, businesses, friends and families within the community for seniors, who perhaps did not have the family or means to purchase gifts for themselves.

All gifts were gathered and packaged with each senior’s individual wish. Titusville Police Officers, members of North Brevard S.A.L.T. and community volunteers delivered the gifts to residents at several North and Central Brevard Senior living facilities.
“This is an event that we look forward to every year”, said North Brevard S.A.L.T. Senior Santa coordinator, Angie Spangler”. “It is a truly amazing display of our community members’ and local businesses’ generosity by supporting this rewarding senior outreach for the past two decades”, added Spangler.
