BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team lost a battle of top 25 teams in the country.

The Titans, who are No. 24 in the NJCAA Division I poll, lost to No. 4 Northwest Florida State College 73-52 in the NWF Classic in Niceville.

Sophomore guard Milan Schimmel had a double-double with a season-high 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the game. Teammate Anja Knoflach finished with 10 points as the Titans’ five-game win streak was snapped.

Northwest Florida State College improved to 13-0 on the season with the win.

The Titans will travel to Florida State College at Jacksonville on Monday, Dec. 16 for a 5:30 p.m. game before taking a break for the Christmas holiday.
