Eastern Florida’s Aedon Kyra, Marc Grifell Honored By United Soccer Coaches Association

Kyra finished EFSC career with 25 goals in 38 games

Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer player Aedon Kyra, left, was named the United Soccer Coaches Association Scholar Player of the Year. Teammate Marc Grifell was named to second-team Scholar All-American after finishing the semester with a 4.0 GPA.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer player Aedon Kyra was named the United Soccer Coaches Association Scholar Player of the Year.

The sophomore from New South Wales, Australia finished the semester with a 3.40 GPA and led the Titans with 16 goals and had seven assists in 18 games this season.

Overall, Kyra has a 3.79 GPA and finished his EFSC soccer career with 25 goals in 38 games, starting 27 of them.

Kyra was also recently named to the United Soccer Association All-American second team.

Teammate Marc Grifell was named to second-team Scholar All-American after finishing the semester with a 4.0 GPA. The sophomore from Barcelona, Spain had four goals and two assists in 17 games for the Titans.

Overall Grifell has a 3.88 GPA.

Kyra and Grifell helped the Titans make it to the NJCAA Division I National Championship Final in Tyler Texas, falling to Monroe College 2-1 in the final. Eastern Florida State College finished with a program-record 16 wins.
