FHP Identifies Shannon Daniels of Titusville as Victim of Motorcycle Crash On I-95 Tuesday

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the 46-year-old victim of the motorcycle crash on Tuesday as Shannon Daniels of Titusville.
He was killed motorcycle crash that involved a construction truck in a construction zone on I-95 near mile marker 182 in Melbourne.
According to the investigation by Florida Highway Patrol, Daniels was traveling southbound on I-95 around 12:49 p.m. when a vehicle in front of him slowed down to let another vehicle merge right into the center lane to avoid the upcoming closed left lane that was approaching.
The vehicle that slowed down was driven by 20-year-old Enid Rosa from Kissimmee. She did not suffer any injuries from the crash.
Investigators say for an unknown reason, Daniels failed to slow down and struck the rear end of the vehicle.
After striking the vehicle, the momentum carried Daniels through the closed lane and eventually made an impact into the back of a construction vehicle in the closed lane.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the impact of the crash killed the Daniels at the scene.
Nobody was inside the construction vehicle at the time of the crash.
