One Person Shot Dead, Two People Injured After Overnight Shooting in Cocoa

Cocoa Police are investigating a deadly shooting that resulted in one person being killed and two others shot overnight in the area of 152 Prospect St. near Lynell Lane.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police are investigating a deadly shooting that resulted in one person being killed and two others shot overnight in the area of 152 Prospect St. near Lynell Lane.

Police identified the shooting victim killed early Saturday morning as 19-year-old Terravion Lewis.

The other two shooting victims injured on Saturday have been identified as a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman.

“Detectives learned the three victims left an area on N. Fiske to go to 900 block of Peachtree,” said Cocoa Police in a released statement.

“Instead, they were dropped off at the corner of Prospect Dr. and Lynell Ln. As they lingered in the area, a black male suspect approached them and began arguing with the 19-year-old man.”

The argument then escalated and resulted in the suspect pulling out a gun, firing multiple shots at the victims, and fled the scene.

One of the victims, identified as Terravion Lewis, died at the scene. The other two shooting victims have been taken to the hospital and are listed in stable condition.

Police are currently following some leads and working to locate the suspect in the shooting.
