SunTrust Bank Robbery Suspect John Edward Lee IV Arrested By Melbourne Police

The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old John Edward Lee IV from Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Suntrust Bank robbery suspect has been arrested by Melbourne Police, according to a police spokesperson on Monday.

The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old John Edward Lee IV from Melbourne.

The bank robbery took place on Friday, December 13, when the suspect approached the teller with a note at Suntrust Bank on N. Wickham and demanded money.

After receiving the money, the suspect fled the scene.

“During the investigation, detectives received several Crimeline tips that aided in identifying the suspect as John Edward Lee IV,” said Sgt John Chapman of the Melbourne PD.

The Suntrust Bank robbery suspect has been arrested by Melbourne Police, according to a police spokesperson on Monday.

Days later after the robbery, Lee met with Det. Cincimino on December 18 for an interview at the Melbourne Police Department Criminal Investigations building for an interview which resulted in his arrest

At this time, Melbourne Police Department detectives and agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigations are continuing their efforts into additional elements of this investigation.
