Not only are the games and matches attended by so many people the players and the coaches themselves get the opportunities that most people would never dream of.
They get marketing deals worth millions of dollars and they get to work with world-famous organizations. One of the recent additions to the craze of sports has been online bettings that keep rising in popularity.

Mike Krzyzewski coaches Duke Blue Devils’ men’s basketball team and his average contract value is $9 million. His career win percentage is .768 and has nearly 200 more wins than any other men’s Division I basketball coach.
Because of his success, he has had multiple offers through his career that was granting him an opportunity to coach teams in the NBA, but the coach has stayed loyal to Duke for over 40 years.
John Harbaugh
Harbaugh coaches Baltimore Ravens, a professional American football team. They compete in the National Football League. The average contract value for the coach is also $9 million and his career win percentage is a bit lower than Krzyzewski’s at .606.
Coaching actually runs in Harbaugh family and his older brother Jim is also a coach, but the younger sibling takes the cake when it comes to salary. The Ravens are actually a Super Bowl favourites, with the renowned played Lamar Jackson leading the team.
Dabo Swiney
The next coach on our list is Dabo Swiney who coaches a college Football team Clemson Tigers. His average contracts are worth around $9.3 million and he has an average win percentage of .810. Swiney has the highest career winning percentage among all active coaches so it’s easy to see why his contracts are valued so high.
Clemson Tigers under Swiney have managed to get to the college football playoff 4 times, and if the team managed to defeat Virginia on its upcoming game it might be headed for its fifth round.
Nick Saban
Coaching the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team, Saban has the average contract value of $9.4 million and the impressive winning percentage of .791. Over the next 8 years, Alabama will pay $75 million to Saban, including $800,000 for the coach’s foundation. He has won managed to get his team to championship 6 times, making it the highest number among college football coaches.
Steve Kerr
Moving to professional basketball, the next coach on our list is Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors. Kerr’s average contract value is $9.5 million and has a high win percentage of .757.
Before Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry were sidelined due to their injuries this season, Kerr had the highest career winning percentage in all of the NBA.
Sean Payton
Payton coaches the professional football team, New Orleans Saints and has the average contract value of $9.75 million. Under his coaching, the Saints became the first NFL team to clinch a playoff berth this season with their win over Falcons this season. It was Payton’s eights postseason berth in 13 seasons in New Orleans so the coach definitely deserves to be on the list.
Jon Gruden
The coach behind Oakland Raiders football team is the fourth most well-paid coach in the sports industry. His average contract value is $10 million. Even though the coach has repeatedly claimed that he is not all that familiar with the terms of his contract he was one of the highest-paid employees at the ESPN’s Monday Night Football for years.
Doc Rivers
Rivers coaches a professional basketball team, Los Angeles Clippers and has an impressive contract average of $10 million dollars. He definitely earned the salary, considering that The Clippers have six straight winning seasons under his coaching, which is more than the total from the last 37 years for the team. He was lured by The Clippers owner, Steve Ballmer who was previously a Microsoft CEO who offered his impressive 8 figure salary back in 2013.
Pete Caroll
Pete Carrol is actually the second-highest-paid coach in the industry and he managed Seattle Seahawks with an average contract value of $11 million. Caroll is currently the oldest head coach in the NFL but his approach has always been very playful.
He is one of only three coaches to win both Super Bowl and college football national championship. He got a substantial raise in 2018 when he signed a three-year extension with the team.
Gregg Popovich
The San Antonio Spurs basketball team has earned Popovich his impressive average of $11 million per contract. Popovich has been with the team since the 1996-1997 season and then managed to take the team on a 22 straight winning streak in 1997, including five NBA titles. Popovich is currently 70 and just signed a three-year extension with the team.

Bill Belichick coaches the professional football team New England Patriots and his average contract value of $12 million is highest in the country. Belichick has been with the team for 17 years and has managed to grant them 10 wins and his Career Win Percentage is .684.
