BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol has released more details regarding a deadly four-vehicle crash that happened Thursday night at Radar Road and U.S. Route in West Melbourne.
Troopers say the man killed in Thursday’s crash has been identified as 73-year-old Ronald King from Plains, Montana. King died at Melbourne Regional Medical Center as a result of his injuries he sustained in the crash.
The investigation has revealed that Bobby Rumbough, 48, was driving his Ford pickup truck westbound on US-192 when he lost control of the truck for an unknown reason and crossed into the eastbound lanes of US-192 and collided head-on with a Buick Cascada, who was driven by Ronald King.
After the crash, a good samaritan identified as 31-year-old Peterson Senerino, stopped to help the crash victims but was rear-ended by another vehicle who failed to slow down for the stopped vehicle.
The driver who failed to slow down for the crash has been identified as 32-year-old Alex Arroyo from Kissimmee.
Rumboug suffered serious injuries as a result from the crash.
Arroyo and Senerino were not injured in the crashes, according to FHP.
Florida Highway Patrol say charges are pending for Rumboug while investigators continue to gather more details.
