ABOVE VIDEO: Construction began on the entrance to Cruise Terminal 3 at the Port.With the new two-story terminal nicknamed “The Launch Pad,” the entrance will feature a futuristic design inspired by rocket gantries at nearby Kennedy Space Center.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Construction begans on the entrance to Cruise Terminal 3 at the Port.

With the new two-story terminal nicknamed “The Launch Pad,” the entrance will feature a futuristic design inspired by rocket gantries at nearby Kennedy Space Center.

Cruise Terminal 3 is expected to have its grand opening in July 2020, ahead of the October 2020 arrival of Carnival Cruise Line’s newest and most innovative cruise ship, the Mardi Gras.

With a maximum capacity of 6,500 guests, the Mardi Gras will be the first LNG-powered cruise ship to homeport in North America.
