BREVARD COUNTY • PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, FLORIDA – In order to execute the perfect detail, Patrick Air Force Base Honor Guard practices diligently.

Their determination to honor fallen brothers and sisters in arms is highlighted by their relentless training.

HONOR GUARD MISSION

The Patrick AFB Honor Guard provides military funeral honors for active-duty members, retirees and veterans who served in the Air Force, Army Air Force and Army Air Corps and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.

Their area of responsibility includes 11 counties including Brevard, Broward, Indian River, Martin, Miami-Dade, Okeechobee, Osceola, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Seminole and Volusia counties.

• Active Duty – 20-person team that performs pallbearing, 6-man flag fold, firing party, color guard, Taps and flag presentation

• Retiree – 7-person team that performs pallbearing, 6-man flag fold, firing party, Taps and flag presentation

• Veteran – 2-person team that performs 2-person flag fold, Taps and flag presentation.
