College of Central Florida Faces Eastern Florida State On The Road in Mid-Florida Conference Matchup

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team hosts the College of Central Florida Saturday in a battle of top teams in the Mid-Florida Conference.

The Titans enter the 4 p.m. meeting at Titan Field House 3-2 in the conference while the Patriots are 4-1 in the standings.

Eastern Florida State College freshman Brian Dugazon has scored at least 10 points in the past seven games and is averaging 19.7 points per game in those games while sophomore Johnny Bernard is averaging 14 points and seven rebounds in the past two games.

The College of Central Florida is coming off their first conference loss of the season on Wednesday night and come into Titan Field House 8-2 in the past 10. The Patriots have five players averaging at least 12 points per game, led by freshman Wayln Napper who is scoring 16 points per game.

In the first meeting of the season in Ocala Jan. 8, the Patriots made the free throws in the final minute to claim an 81-79 victory. Eastern Florida State College has won the Mid-Florida Conference title the past two seasons and has won seven straight conference titles under head coach Jeremy Shulman.

Saturday’s game will tip-off at 4 p.m. and it will be Green Dot Day at Titan Field House with events at halftime of the game. Admission is free to home games and will be shown live online at EFSC Titans YouTube page.
