BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s online excellence was recognized in the 2020 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Programs rankings.

Four of the university’s offerings – online bachelor’s, online MBA, online non-MBA business, and online computer information technology – were ranked in the top 150 among more than 1,600 online degree programs the magazine assessed for overall academic quality.

“Ultimately, the Best Online Programs rankings measure whether online degree programs have academic standards commensurate with quality brick-and-mortar programs, properly adapted toward the unique pedagogy of distance education,” the magazine noted.

The highest-ranked Florida Tech program was online computer information technology, which was No. 22, up three spots from 2019.

These latest rankings come not long after U.S. News & World Report recognized Florida Tech’s overall excellence in a pair of rankings released in late 2019.

The university was one of just eight Florida-based universities on the 2020 list of Best Global Universities, and it made its 10th consecutive appearance as a top tier university in the magazine’s annual Best Colleges ranking for 2020.
