Nicole Rautemberg Earns First Place to Help Florida Tech Panthers Dominate Interamericana

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech swimming hosted Universidad Interamericana for the first time in program history at the Panther Aquatic Center. The Panthers dominated right from the start winning the first three events of the afternoon race.

The Panthers started the meet with back-to-back wins in the 200-yard medley relay earning first place. The women recorded a time of 1:51.21with GabijaKarosas, Carter Juskevich, MikaelaBarger, and ShaelynRutta. The men finished with a time of 1:37.03 with Carlos ObregonDain RustKerry Ollivierre, and Reston Bartlett.

Savannah Brennan set another school record in the 1000 free with a time of 10:22.36. This is the third school record that the junior has set this season. Brennan later earned another first-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:09.96.

Nicole Rautemberg earned first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:58.05.

Daniel Aizenberg recorded his first win as a Panther in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.09.

Tech had another win the 200-yard breaststroke by Emma Oleniczak who registered a time of 1:10.47.

Kennedy Nolan and ReeganTiltmann finished on top with times of 2:11.96 and 2:17.96 in the 200-yard butterfly. Nolan did it again in the 200-yard backstroke posting a time of 2:15.15.

Panthers had back-to-back wins in the 100-yard freestyle by ShaelynRutta and Thomas McHenry posting time of 54:16 and 49.01.

The Crimson and Gray swept the 200-yard backstroke with Carlos ObregonAlexander Kidd, and Nathaniel Allen. They also swept the 200-yard breaststroke with Jose Coiman-AcostaBrandon Blair, and Colby Garthwaite.

The Panthers finish with back-to-back wins in the 400 freestyle relay. The women’s race was competed by Nicole RautembergSamantha BischoffKennedy Nolan, and Savannah Brennan posting a time of 3:39.00. On the men’s side, it was Farran BarkerKerry OllivierreJose Coiman-Acosta, and Daniel Aizenberg.

The Panthers will race Lynn on Saturday, January 25 at the Panther Aquatic Center starting at 3 p.m.
