The National Weather Service in Melbourne issued a forecast for a very cold overnight into Wednesday morning along east-central Florida. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne issued a forecast for a very cold overnight into Wednesday morning along east-central Florida.

In fact, it will be the coldest night for some interior locations in nearly two years. A Wind Chill Advisory for all of east-central Florida has been issued.

It will be mostly clear Tuesday night, with a low around 41, with wind chill values as low as 32. Conditions will be windy, with a north northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT

Large breaking waves will build to 7 to 9 feet in the surf zone late Tuesday night into the day on Wednesday. The pounding surf can knock you down. Swimmers should remain out of the water due to the high and dangerous surf.

THIS WEEK’S FORECAST

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Wind chill values as low as 32 early. Windy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. East northeast wind 5 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. South wind around 5 mph.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming west after midnight.
