Ronald W. Brewer, 79, of Cocoa passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. He was employed as a Consulting Systems Engineer in Launch Services at the Kennedy Space Center for 15 years and retired in 2016.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Ronald W. Brewer, 79, of Cocoa passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. 

Born on November 25, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Roy F. and Thelma Mainous Brewer, Ron was employed as a Consulting Systems Engineer in Launch Services at the Kennedy Space Center for 15 years and retired in 2016.

Prior to this, he was Vice President of Electromagnetic Compatibility Services for Instrument Specialties Co. Inc. He was a Life Member and Distinguished Lecturer for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

He loved sailing and working on home improvement projects. Ron is preceded in death by his brother Larry Roger Brewer.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 51 years, Catherine Watson Brewer; son Robert W. (Fay E. Reiter) Brewer; daughter Callie B. (John R. Jr.) Fulmer; grandchildren Evan T. Fulmer and Jefferson B. Fulmer.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 11 a.m. at North Brevard Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ronald’s name to the Boy Scouts of America at donations.scouting.org. Condolences may be shared at www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com
