BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Congratulations to Officer Parker Landis of the Titusville Police Department for being chosen the City of Titusville’s Employee of the Month for January 2020.

Officer Landis, a one-year veteran of the Titusville Police Department, was presented the honor from Titusville City Manager, Scott Larese, and Titusville Mayor Walt Johnson on, Tuesday, January 28, 2020, during the City Council’s Special Recognitions meeting at City Hall.

Officer Landis was recognized for his exceptional service during an emergency medical call in which he performed urgent and crucial life saving measures on a victim, who later made a full recovery.

In addition, he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that resulted in the significant seizure of the deadly drug, heroin/Fentanyl. The 19 grams seized constitutes a trafficking weight with a penalty of a 15-year minimum mandatory prison sentence.

Lastly, Officer Landis aggressively worked to located the suspect of a hit and run incident involving a child. His tenacity and investigative skills ultimately led to the arrest of the suspect.
