BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – What’s the latest buzz on beekeeping? Check out the newest class, “Know Your Bees: An Introduction to Honey Bee Biology.”

The class will be held from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County, located at 3695 Lake Drive in Cocoa.

Attendees who complete this workshop will be able to:

  • List the four resources that honey bees collect from the environment
  • Identify a queen, worker, and drone
  • Identify a honey bee egg, larva, and pupa
  • Differentiate between solid and spotty brood patterns
  • Perform a hive inspection with an official checklist.
