1,000-Pound Great White Shark ‘IronBound’ Pings Off Coast of Titusville

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Great White Shark ‘IronBound’ has pinged 30 miles off the coast of Titusville, according to Ocearch.
‘Ironbound’, weighing in at 1,000-pounds, was recently tagged by Ocearch in October. The male adult shark has since accumulated over 1,800 miles in distance over the last few of months.
Measuring at 12-feet and four inches, ‘Ironbound’ was named after West Ironbound Island near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
He is the 53rd white shark SPOT-tagged by OCEARCH in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean.
